Getting ready for Christmas!!!

last weekend, in the freezing cold, we drove 2 hours round trip to cut down a christmas tree. for us, picking a tree is a complex process because we all have a different idea of what a perfect tree looks like. this year however, due to a rather dry summer, pickings were slim, so we had to settle for an odd shaped and slightly balding tree. after paying for our $65 tree, we brought it home and tortured ourselves with trying to make it appear straight in its "easy to use tree stand". exhausted, we built a fire, drank some wine, and left the kids to make videos of themselves. merry xmas!
